Mistletoe Kisses

Morning all
How are we out there in blogland?? Its Mel here again with a little festive cheer

A great wee set of last minute Christmas cards using some adds and ends from different paper packs and using my trusty Silhouette Cameo for the frames and mistletoe. If your really good with a craft knife you could do the frame yourself but here's how I done it

Firstly on my Silhouette program I made a 4x4 square with the text on it so when it was cut the text would leave a space. I also added my mistletoe shape to one side that I cut

I next removed the white text and stuck the white panel onto some red paper from my Basic Grey Hey Boy pad and used some of the green to cut the mistletoe from the Hey Boy pad as well

I've kept the text for another card, us crafters throw nothing away!

Next I covered the back of the red panel with foam pads and stuck it down on to a card blank, making sure it was certain and leaving a white border all around the red

Taking the mistletoe leaves just one large and 2 small, I embossed the back to give them some shape

before adding foam pads to the leaves and glue to the stems

the sticking to the card, in the middle just at the top of the white panel

Next I took some of my Card Candi and stuck it down to form the start of my mistletoe.

The folding another Card Candi in half with the pattern to the inside I stuck it on top of the other piece already on the card.
To finish I added a piece of red satin ribbon and thats it!

I also used some of the lighter green paper from the Hey Girl Basic Grey pad to form the lighter mistletoe steams! I think both are very festive!

Well thats all for me! Till next time everyone

Butterflies and Ink

Hello lovelies

Its Mel here again with another wee project using some of the delish products from Clare Curd Crafts, new products are being added daily!

This time I wanted to keep it simple (for me that is) and use just a view things that most people have in their stash without added to much to the card.

The card was so easy to make, requiring only a few crafty stash items
I used the utterly stunning Wild Meadow set from Indigo Blu and inked up wit the Walnut Stain Distress ink making my wee scene. Then I took the ink again and distressed the edges of all 3 layers on the card, including some kraft paper

The butterfly I stamped onto white card then cut out, stuck on to kraft paper before inking the edges and sticking to the card base

then to finish off the card I added some satin ribbon from my stash, Craftwork Card Candi and added stickles to the butterfly and dandelion puffs

I wanted to create something without using my most fav craft item of patterned paper and I think I might have just achieved it. What do you think??

"On yer bike!"

Hello everyone

its Friday which means its time form a post from little me, Mel and I wanted to share with you the most stunning summer themed paper Shoreline from American Crafts!

I'm such a paper magpie and these papers just needed to be in my stash and I knew they would make the perfect birthday card for a special friend

The wee card is a "Z" fold and is soooo simple to make
Here's how

I used the lush papers, card blanks and some yellow card stock from my stash to make the main card and everything else I used to decorate was in my stash too

Firstly I took 2 to 6x6 card blanks folding them and then taking one and cutting an inch of one edge and then cutting the other card down to 4.5" square

Then I started decorating the inside and front panel of the large card by layer with the yellow card and the Shoreline papers

after that I stuck the small card blank to the inside of the large card with the opening going the opposite way. This forms the "Z" shape of the card, then decorate

I then used my spellbinders to make a small ornate frame for a birthday sentiment, you could use the Nestabilities Labels 25 to get the same effect and even better is they are on sale!

Then using my trusty Silhouette cameo I cut out this layered Bike added gems and flowers to the basket and highlighting with a black marker

and after added some Craftwork Sentiments and more gems the card is finished

I hope to see you all try the "Z" fold card and if you do leave a wee link in the comments section so I can see what you have done!
