Fancy a Picnic??

Hello everyone
Mel here with my Clare Curd Design Team project I created a little Picnic Basket which doubles as a wee wee gift bag

Using old papers, lots of flowers and my fav Butterfly stamps I created my wee basket and made a wee tutorial just for you!

Firstly you want to cut panels as above to these sizes

1 - Handle : 2 x 29 cm
2 - Support : 2 x 18 cm with 4cm folds at either end
3 - Box : 18 x 22 cm again with 4cm folds all around
4 - Lid : 20.5 x 10.8 making folds at each side at 3 then 9 (this leaves a small panel in the middle)
5 - Base : 10.8 x 14.8 cm

Next I cut out my decorative panels with some old paper I found in my stash, I make the panels smaller so as to have a small borders once stuck to the basket

Next I ink the edges on all the papers using my Walnut Distress Ink

Next I made up the box part by taking small notches out of each side then I added the support panel to the inside and stuck down

Start sticking all the decorative panels to the basket parts including the lid and handle

stick the basket to the base leaving an equal border all round

Add glue to the support panel then stick down the lid
Be careful when sticking down the lid making sure its central to the basket

Lastly you want to add the handle. I used some matching brads and put them all the way through

Above you can see I added lots of Mulberry Flowers and leaves with lots of stickles glitter glue before making a little handle for either side. I used a small circle of silver card, a punched out flower and another matching brad

Stamping out my Butterflies with Memento Black Ink and coloured the with turquoise markers and pink markers

Adding them to the box before covering in more glitter

I hope you like my wee basket and maybe find the time to make one of your own
Till next time

Burly bikes

It was only after I made this card that I realised Clare has put this stamp set and lots more into the 40% sale she has on at the moment

The background of the card is brayered with grey ink and over stamped using the small nut & bolt stamp, really love how this came out, gives the card a grease monkey look. The motorbike is stamped in grey ink and layered onto black card.
The patterned paper is from the Carta bella well Travelled pad
I cut a couple of cute little banners and attached them.

A bit of distressing on the edges and this manly card is finished.

When Santa got stuck up the chimney...

Hiya crafty friends,

I hope you are all having a lovely day with your family and friends.

I hope Santa came safely last night and didn't get stuck like he did on my card :) I think he had one too many mince pies during the night.

When I first saw the Fireplace Kisses stamp set had the idea for this card but I wasn't sure if I could do what was in my head and I am really pleased that I was. The brickwork was coloured with Tea Dye Distress Ink, which was applied with a paintbrush..

I used the cute little snowflakes from the Christmas Tag - Jolly Holly stamp set to decorate the stocking using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The cute little image on the cards were taken from the Silhouette store. I added a little tab to the bottom of the card to attach them to the top of the fireplace.

And the whole thing can be folded flat...

to enable it to be put in a envelope.

Happy crafting

Are we starting to panic yet? Hopefully you have been super organised and don't need any more Christmas cards right?

Have a fun week.

A wee Ruddy Nose

Morning all

How are we all doing this week?? Can't believe its almost here! Santa Claus will be here soon and he'll be bringing all those goodies for good boys and girls!

Today I wanted to share a wee quick Christmas card for my Clare Curd DT post

I'm sorry the picture isn't the best as my camera is dead and I can't find my Charger anywhere and the silly phone is rubbish for pictures at night!

As you can see all I have done is layered some Christmas scraps from the Botanical Noel paper pack with white card and added a lil cut out stamped image! The image is from the Crafty Impressions Happy Holidays A6 set all coloured with my alcohol markers

It only took me around 30 mins (I take forever to colour) from start to finish this little card, but you could colour loads of these images all stamped out in one go and then just add to cards. Then your all set with some last minute cards!

Will off to finish my Christmas wrapping
