Hiya crafty friends,

So sad, this is my last post for Clare Curd Crafts. I have loved being part of this fantastic design team and would like to thank Clare for allowing me to be part of it. It's been an honour to be associated with your fantastic store and work along side some very talented crafters. There are a lots of goodies to be had there guys! :)

So, for my last project I have invited you all for afternoon tea :) I found the teapot and teacup cut files on the Silhouette Cameo site and I just had to make them.

The lovely paper I used is from the Prima Believe 6x6 paper pad

And I added some texture by using some Candi Dots

 

The sentiments on the 'teabag' was taken fro the Bo Bunny sentiment stamp set

Handbag or Giftbag??

Good morning my lovelies

and Happy Valentines Day to all my lovie dovie crafters out there!

Mel here and today I'm sharing a wee creation made with the most delish papers

these Fancy Pants What a Wonderful Day collection pack is just amazing!

If like me you like 12x12 "stroke-able" papers this is a set you need! Not only are the papers just fab, up to date and modern but the elements are fantastic for cards as well as Scrapbooking!

Here's what I made with mine

Yeah its a little tote style bag made using my Silhouette then Distressed all the edges with Tattered Rose

I stamped out my Saturated Canary image Krafty Kate. I coloured her with my markers and cut here out before sticking on to the bag with foam pads. I finished off the tote with some pink pearls on all the front and back corners

I even added brads to the bottom to give the little studded feet that totes sometimes have!

Its a great wee size and can happily fit and gift for that special friend or even some sweeties too!

Fancy a Picnic??

Hello everyone

Mel here with my Clare Curd Design Team project I created a little Picnic Basket which doubles as a wee wee gift bag

Using old papers, lots of flowers and my fav Butterfly stamps I created my wee basket and made a wee tutorial just for you!

Firstly you want to cut panels as above to these sizes

1 - Handle : 2 x 29 cm

2 - Support : 2 x 18 cm with 4cm folds at either end

3 - Box : 18 x 22 cm again with 4cm folds all around

4 - Lid : 20.5 x 10.8 making folds at each side at 3 then 9 (this leaves a small panel in the middle)

5 - Base : 10.8 x 14.8 cm

Next I cut out my decorative panels with some old paper I found in my stash, I make the panels smaller so as to have a small borders once stuck to the basket

Next I ink the edges on all the papers using my Walnut Distress Ink

Next I made up the box part by taking small notches out of each side then I added the support panel to the inside and stuck down

Start sticking all the decorative panels to the basket parts including the lid and handle

stick the basket to the base leaving an equal border all round

Add glue to the support panel then stick down the lid

Be careful when sticking down the lid making sure its central to the basket

Lastly you want to add the handle. I used some matching brads and put them all the way through

Above you can see I added lots of Mulberry Flowers and leaves with lots of stickles glitter glue before making a little handle for either side. I used a small circle of silver card, a punched out flower and another matching brad

Stamping out my Butterflies with Memento Black Ink and coloured the with turquoise markers and pink markers

Adding them to the box before covering in more glitter
