Be Bold

Get the sunglasses ready.....I'm showing some bright and bold cards today - and maybe, they might inspire you to take another look at your stamps and see that you don't have to follow the trend of doing a certain look with certain stamp manufacturers.

Products Used From Clare Curd Crafts
IndigoBlu - Elizabeth Bennet
Stampers Anonymous By Tim Holtz - Way with Words

These are small card blanks (7cmx10cm) these might be ideal as gift tags on presents or just a little card to slip in to an envelope when doing crafty swaps with friends.

  • I just took a marker pen and wiped it over the front of the card, yes, you can see pen lines but for me, that's just part of the charm.
  • Stamp the Elizabeth Bennet image on to the front, I did change the position just slightly on each one.
  • I then stamped the image again on to some white stamping paper, then trimmed out some flowers, the bird and butterfly. And as you can see, I paper pieced these on to the cards.
  • Finally, I added some small punched out butterfly shapes from white paper and some rubs ons (all from my own stash).

This card is about 6"square in size, I cut out four 2.5"square panels and did the same as I did for the small cards. I also stamped a quote from a Tim Holtz stamp set.
