Party Time!!

Hiya crafty friends,

I am so excited to be taking part in todays Clare Curd crafts shop relaunch blog party, along side the rest of the fantastic design team, who will also be posting their gorgeous projects throughout today.
For todays party I will be showing how to make this card using the gorgeous Indigo Blu - Wild Meadow stamp set and my new favourite Distress Ink colour, Peacock Feathers...I love it!!!! That are all available over in the store.

Step by step:

Step 1.
Firstly, stamp the dandelion image onto a 10.5cm x 10.5cm piece of card, with an embossing ink. Sprinkle on some white embossing powder and tap away any excess, then heat with a heat gun.

Step2.
Take the Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and apply some to a non stick mat, then spritz with a little water

Step 3.
Mix the water and ink together with a paint brush...

...and then apply to your image in strokes, until you have covered the whole card. Don't worry if you miss in some places. It just adds to the watercolour look

Step 4.
Take a tissue and dab over the embossed area to remove any ink that has collected on the embossing

Step 5.
Take a 16cm x 16cm piece of white card and fill, using the corner swirl stamp by stamping with embossing ink and then heat embossing with white powder (as shown below)

Step 6.
I cut this layered label using my Silhouette Cameo, that consisted of 4 separate elements

Step 7.
I decided I would like this layer to be coloured, which I did by mixing Peacock Feathers Distress Ink again with a little water and brush it on until it was completely covered.

...then adhered to the first layer

Step 8.
Heat embossed the next layer up, using the corner swirl...

...apply some foam pads to the back...

and stick to the top.

Colour the remaining layer with the water and ink mix...

then adhere to the other labels, then set aside.

Step 9.
Cut a piece of white card 17.6cm x 17.6cm and use some of the watered down ink again and brush around the edges (you don't need to do the centre as it will not be seen)

Now we have made most of the element, it's time to construct the card.

Step 10.
Take the 17.6cm x 17.6cm and stick in the centre of a 8x8 scalloped card and put to one side

Step 11.
Cut a 17cm x 17cm piece of white card and stick the heat embossed background to the centre of it.

Step 12.
Cut a 11.3cm x 11.3cm square of white card and stick to the centre.

Step 13.
Now adhere the image to the centre

Step 14.
Take these layers and wrap a length of ribbon around, securing at the back

...then adhere to the 8x8 card

Step 15.
I cut this 'Thanks' sentiment using the Silhouette Cameo and glued onto the top of the layered label...

...which I then adhered to the bottom left hand area of the card, using foam pads

Step 16.
Again, using the Shilhouette Cameo I cut a lace design, which a glued to the ribbon and added some flat back pearls.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I enjoyed making it and I will see you again, with another project, on Wednesday. Which is my DT day...so see you then x

Happy Crafting
