Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles

Hi everyone! Simonne here with my very first DT card!

Today I have a card to share that I made with the gorgeous Majestic Elements Radiant Rectangles die set from Spellbinders.

This is a very intricate die set with a lot of fine detail.  A great tip when using highly detailed dies is to pop a piece of baking parchment/greaseproof paper between the die and the card/paper you are going to cut.  I know it sounds a bit odd but by adding this it makes the job of extracting your card from the die a piece of cake! It lifts right off with no tearing!  (Of course, you will still need to remove those teeny, tiny pieces that are left behind in the die itself, lol!).

Supplies

How to...
NB There are 7 dies in the Radiant Rectangles set. I have labelled the dies A to G with A being the largest and G being the smallest.
  1. Use the largest die (A) to cut coloured cardstock. Use the two largest dies (A & B) to cut and emboss white cardstock. Distress with Versamagic Wheat ink and glue on top of the coloured cardstock die-cut to create your base panel.
  2. Use die C to cut and emboss coloured cardstock. Ink the edges with Versamagic Wheat. Attach to the base panel with foam pads.
  3. Use die D to cut and emboss white cardstock. Distress with Versamagic Wheat ink and attach to the base panel with foam pads.
  4. Wrap the base panel with ribbon then glue it to the front of a 146x93mm card base with the fold at the top.
  5. Use die E to cut and emboss patterned paper. Ink edge with Versamagic Wheat. Stamp sentiment in Versamagic Perfect Plumeria. Attach to the card with foam pads.
  6. Create a bow from ribbon, cream twine and a paper rose. Attach to the left side of the card. Add 4mm flatback pearls to finish.

Thanks for popping by today!
